You know I have been very fortunate with my teeth. I’ve never had anything done to my teeth in my grown up life – I did however have a small hole in my kiddie teeth that got fixed. Unfortunately my wisdom teeth aren’t doing what they are supposed to do
I know there are many brave people out there that fear not the dentist, but there are also those that would rather endure long lasting pain before they get in his seat.
Anyways, I thought it would be fun to “document” my first tooth pulling or in this case surgery as it had to be dug up first. So here is a picture of my x-ray that clearly shows how my tooth is growing in the wrong direction. I had known for many years that this tooth was trouble, but it had lied dorment for so many years and I was hoping it wouldn’t move further … but it did.
It had actually gotten to the point where the tooth was causing damage to my other tooth so there was no question about it … it had to go! My dentist decided to send me to a specialist which made me worry.
I decided to make a short video about my experience having my first tooth removed. I know for many this is a small or even tiny deal, but I know there are others like me that don’t really like the thought of having someone cut, saw and pull teeth from ones mouth. Anyways, I know it’s silly and wussy but here it is:
So there you have it. It’s been almost two days now since I had my tooth removed. I’ve been very fortunate cause so far no swelling and no big blue marks on my chin. It has been a little painful and I’m on a soft diet but all things considered I’m very happy. Here’s a picture of the little bastard that got pulled out of my mouth:
